Lions Clubs provide financial assistance toward eye examinations, eye glasses and hearing aids for individuals in need. Assistance is usually one time per person. Family Service First Call for Help at 352-6300 provides screening and referral to local Lions Clubs. In Rantoul, call Community Service Center, 893-1530, to contact Lions Club. Used eye glasses and hearing aids are collected for redistribution in Third World countries; contact Herb Bail at 359-1233 for drop-off sites. Champaign residents needing information on vision and hearing may call Bill Strutz at 337-0055.
