The Illinois State Library Talking Book and Braille Service, in cooperation with the National Federation of the Blind, sponsors NFB-NEWSLINE. This service provides subscribers with toll-free access to audio versions of more than 200 newspapers available throughout the country. This service is free and can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. NFB-NEWSLINE allows readers to select the newspapers and articles they want to hear. Call Debbie at ISL TBBS at (800) 665-5576, ext. 5, to register for this service. Illinois Newspapers available on NFB-Newsline: Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald (Chicago Suburbs), Kankakee Daily Journal, and Belleville News-Democrat.
