Equip for Equality is the only comprehensive statewide advocacy organization for people with disabilities and their families. It provides technical assistance and advice in self-advocacy, direct legal services, monitoring of the performance of agencies responsible for delivering services to people with disabilities, lobbying for laws that protect the rights of individuals with disabilities, and seminars to diverse audiences on disability rights issues. It also offers training and technical assistance regarding disability rights, self-advocacy, and public policy advocacy. Regional offices are located in Springfield, Chicago, Rock Island and Carbondale.
