There are two senior exemptions. The first is the senior over 65 exemption for $4,000. The second is the Senior Citizen Freeze which varies each year depending on assessed value changes. Both require an annual submission. The Freeze is allowed when a properties' household income is less than $55,000. The Freeze locks in an assessment base amount, but the assessed value will continue to fluctuate.
