Program/Service Notes:

The Carle Low Vision Center provides east central Illinois with a low-vision center to help patients adapt to vision loss. Services provided by the center include Low Vision Evaluation, Adaptive Equipment Training, and Occupational Therapy. The Center provides clients the opportunity to try out adaptive equipment that can help with reading, computer, driving, seeing the television and completing everyday tasks that are difficult with visual loss. Adaptive equipment is available for purchase at the Center; this equipment is not often covered by insurance. Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's and private insurers may reimburse fees for many of the services provided by the Center when they are requested by a physician.
